One Million Champions started in Oklahoma when a handful of us everyday influencers realized that we can't outsource heroics. So, we picked ourselves to fight for the people, projects, causes and communities we love. There is no one else.

If our town, our states and the world is to change we're going to have to become the Champions our world needs.

We started Giving Circles centered on the issues and opportunities that we're most passionate about. The world doesn't need any more passive 'likes.'

We began to connect, collaborate and give intentionally to solve problems and amplify opportunities. We believe we can make a bigger impact when we work together. We're doing this with the resources we respectively have. Some have a lot, others less but we all have a unique gift, skill or insight to offer.

Giving a little of our own money and time is simply the litmus test of our commitment. The Giving Circle is the mechanism that keeps us together. Passion for purpose and change is the glue. Respect, and love even, is the oil in the giving movement.

There's absolutely no reason 10,000 Champions in Oklahoma don't start a new Giving Circle and One million more elsewhere. Will they? We hope so. Until then, we have. Will you?

The opportunity sought is...to bask without being asked for heroics (which of course, carry risk)....picking yourself, is frightening because we’ve been hoodwinked and brainwashed into believing that it’s not up to us. But it is.

Where We're Going--entre to take action page...

  • Inviting 10,000 fellow Champions to start a giving circle in Oklahoma. It's where we live.
  • Then, we'll invite about 1 million more.
  • Then, we think big--20 million of us can give an extra few billion away.
  • $3 Billion isn't a big number but, we think it can make a big difference.
  • Aligning stakeholders to give their own money not just raise money from others.
  • Aligning stakeholders to recognize and reward purposeful giving.
